General Info
At Neurology Departments of Hospitals in Medical Park Hospitals Group, a wide range of neurological diseases are diagnosed, treated and supervised at in-patient and out-patient settings.
Neurology clinics of our hospitals deal with cerebral hemorrhages, headache, dizziness, cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, epilepsy, Alzheimer, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke and sleep disorders. Studies are conducted in cooperation with Medical Imaging and Neurosurgery departments, when necessary.
Cranial computerized tomography or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Echocardiography and extracranial Doppler contribute to the treatment and follow-up of patients.
The patients with life threatening conditions, such as coma, progressive stroke and frequently relapsing seizures, are followed up and treated at intensive care units.
EMG (electromyoneurography), a dynamic diagnostic method, is most commonly used at our electrophysiology laboratory in the evaluation of neuropathies that are manifested by complaints like numbness in hands and feet and painful conditions like lumbar and cervical hernias.
EEG (electroencephalography) is also performed at our electrophysiology laboratory for differential diagnosis of many diseases of central nervous system, especially for epilepsy.
Complaints of headaches are also examined at our outpatient clinics.
